INCLUDING YOUR FURRY FRIENDS IN YOUR PORTRAIT SESSION

Although you may know me as an equine and pet photographer, there is a little more to it than simply photographing horses and dogs on their own.

If you are anything like me, the animals in my life are family, which means they are with me… A Lot! Booking a portrait session with me doesn’t mean you can’t let your four legged friends in on the fun!

One of my favorite shooting styles is a lifestyle feel, this means lots of candids and many intimate moments either within your home or maybe out and about in town. Bringing your pets along for the shoot will truly tie your session together with the perfect bow! It is super easy to set up for a session like this, you can either clean up your home and maybe try out that new decor you have been waiting to display, the cozier the better! In the image below, I came out for a maternity shoot within their home, I had them snuggle up on the couch with their stunning dog laying directly below them. This image spoke to me as I identify their dog Titan as the protector of the family when all else fails, adding him into the shot seemed to tie this little family together perfectly.

Another shot from this session is of my niece and Titan having a little play session on the bed after we finished shooting our must have shots. This allows for my niece to just let loose and play with her dog. I know if I had a little one of my own, I would do anything I could to snap a photo like this to display in my home for everyone to see.

Aside from lifestyle family shoots, you can also get professional branding photos that include animals you may work with in your profession. Oftentimes when a potential client is looking into an individual working in a profession with animals such as dog/horse training, veterinary work or grooming, they are going to want to see you in action. By scheduling an equine or pet session with me I can help bring your vision for your business to life by creating personable and unique images out in the field. In the image below I was photographing a woman who works in the dairy industry, she informs dairy farmers on the most efficient ways to produce quality milk from their cows through nutrition. I immediately visualized this image when we sat down to plan her session out and absolutely adored how the final image turned out.

The last two images I am going to show are also of a professional within the equine industry, she works as an at liberty trainer with a variety of horses. This client was such a blast to work with and was the first client that helped me realize how much I loved traveling for a shoot as she was located in Mississippi. For her business she wanted to display a sense of welcoming and warmth while still showing she could handle her duties.

I hope you enjoyed reading about the variety of sessions that you can schedule with your four legged friends, please take a look at the rest of my website and I cannot wait to work with you!
