LEA- CLASS OF 2022

If you came to me and asked what my dream senior portrait session would include- it would be a human, a horse and a dog every single time.

If you have worked with me in the past, one of the first questions I asked was probably along the lines of "will there be a favorite pet joining the session”. I always ask because having your family dog or your horse present for your senior portraits allows you to be your most authentic self because you are surrounded by the things you love most. When walking through my planning call with Lea and her mom, there was so much excitement and willingness to learn about all my tips and tricks to ensure a successful session which made the day a breeze!

We started at their home where I met their dog Bear, he had a few hidden tricks up his sleeve and the most adorable ears, I couldn’t stop snapping shots! Lea absolutely loves playing volleyball and graduated proudly as an active member of the Perry Central School Girl’s Varsity Volleyball Team so it only seemed fitting to include a few portraits with her volleyball.

We then made our way to the beautiful Leg Up Stables in Geneseo New York where Lea rode and boarded her horse Merlin. It is no secret that I am a sucker for long legs and any warm colored horses- that is exactly what Merlin is! It was easy to see just how strong of a bond Lea had built with her chestnut gelding as we adventured around the breathtaking property Leg Up Stables resides on. From the outdoor arena setting, to the laneway surrounded by trees and the historical barns, with Merlin and Bear in tow, we created an unforgettable gallery of portraits.

As golden hour slowly grew into the Summer evening, we wrapped up our afternoon together. One of the best parts about working with the White family was their adoration for their daughter, Lea’s passion for animals, and creating artwork worthy of such an accomplished and authentic young lady.
